Journalism/Radio Talkshows for Peacebuilding
Radio talkshows have the potential - particularly in fragile states - to do
enormous damage if they are not well-managed. This course introduces talkshow
hosts to conflict transformation, and helps them better understand how they can
contribute positively to their communities and countries.

2. Radio soap opera for
social transformation
I've trained six successful radio soap opera teams, and worked with several
others. I take a group of new, inexperienced writers through a ten day
practical course which gives them an introduction to conflict issues and helps
them see how to approach those issues through a radio soap opera, then gives
them the basics in designing and writing a peace building soap opera for radio.
I have given longterm advice and support to an extremely successful radio soap
opera team in Nepal (writers, producers, management), and am
currently advising on a new soap in Sri Lanka.

3. Other
Having worked in radio for twenty five
years, and conflict transformation for ten of those years, I have experience of
many different contexts, as well as radio formats and styles so I'm able to
bring the two together in a variety of configurations - depending on the
specific contextual and organisational needs.
